Spring Tournament Hockey

Spring Hockey is a different beast when it comes to hockey. It allows skaters from different organizations to join together on a team and compete against some of the best teams in the Midwest. To ensure the best experience for everyone, players will be evaluated and teams will be made once registration ends for that tournament. In other words, only sign up for the tournaments that fit your schedule, and yes, every weekend might be made up of different players.

If you have a "core" group of kids that want to play together, that is fine too! Send me a message with who wants to play, who will be coaching, and what tournaments you want to attend, and I will help put the finishing touches together. This might be best for elite competitive teams.

How it's going to work:

  • All players interested in playing Spring Hockey should come to evaluations.
  • All players will be evaluated by coaches.
  • For each tournament, players can register that they want to play and depending on who/how many sign up will determine teams, based on the evaluations.
  • Example: if the top 15 kids want to play in Week 1's tournament, that would be the AAA Team. The next 15 kids that want to play would be the AA Team
  • Example 2: if only 15 of the top 45 kids on the evaluations want to play, they will be a team but coach will need to decide at what level; AA or A.
  • If a coach has their core team put together, but needs a player or few, they can consult the evaluations and extend an invite.

What if evaluations are missed? Will my skater be excluded from the Chilis for the season?

  • NO!!!! Contact me and we will see what we can find using LiveBarn and coaches recommendations.

Spring Player Interest Form

Registering your skater is not committing to any or all tournaments.  This is just getting your skater added to the list to know how many players are interested so we know how much ice time we need for evaluations in March.
